Grove Isle: Candidates for Commissioner speak with residents

City of Miami District 2 Commissioner speak at Grove Isle

Grove Isle welcomed yesterday candidates for City of Miami District 2 Commissioner

All Miami District 2 Candidate Commissioners were invited to talk to Grove Isle yesterday.  It was a great evening which laid out clear priorities and concerns for everyone on the island.

Unfortunately candidate Mrs. Sarnoff, wife of the present Commissioner Mark Sarnoff, was unable to attend.

Do listen to what our candidates have to say (click image below to open). Video courtesy of Al Crespo.

Many thanks again to all involved.

  1. Alan says:

For those of us who live in the North Grove was their any discussion of traffic, DOT impact in the bridge and environmental impact on the bay?

    • Mike says:

They joked that S Bayshore Dr will need 6 lanes to cope with all the growth. Seriously, the North Grove Associations need to step up and make their voices heard.

I commend our Board of Directors for the two events which have taken place this week. The briefing from our attorneys and the meeting with City of Miami District 2 candidates. The threat from the developer intended to change our quality of life has mobilized our residents into action and this is a good thing to happen. We need to maintain the pressure and continue being alert and responding promptly to the actions of the developer. Kudos for our Board. Personally I feel very proud of our two new Board members.
